Hello and welcome.  Sherwood Phorest Photography was born from the play on words of Forest and Photo.  And since someone else had already taken the site “sherwoodforest: this was the next best option.  The Sherwood family has been using this type of name convention, from Forest Distribution to Mom’s Flower arrangement store Sherwood Florist. 

But enough about my self aggrandizing humor.  I came up with this site after taking trips to several national parks for the soul purpose of photography.  I also live in an absolutely beautiful area of the country, with an abundance of photo worthy areas.  Central Virginia is one of the most beautiful and most diverse areas of the country, rich in history, and within a couple of hours of Washington DC, the Blue Ridge Mountains, and the Atlantic Ocean.  My favorite parks are Glacier National Park in Montana, and Denali National Park in Alaska.  You can read my blogs to understand why, but neither park will disappoint.
